Meet Sister Sauce
Two sisters, one craving, and a whole lot of peppers.
Who’s Behind the Sauce?
We’re Eni and Oyinda - the Sissys. Two North London girls, born in the '90s and raised with our Nigerian roots. We spent our early years in Lagos, but it’s the recipes, stories, and tips passed down by our food-obsessed family that truly shaped how we cook today.
We’ve been living together since 2018, and we’ve shared just about everything — homes, clothes, playlists, and of course many meals. In 2019, we moved to Amsterdam together, and during the COVID lockdowns, we started to really miss those Nigerian dishes you would usually go home for. So we raided the local ‘toko’, and got cooking.
With every pot of jollof, we were reconnecting with our culture — and realising just how special (and shareable) these flavours are. Fast-forward to 2023, we’re back in the UK and ready to turn our shared love for food into something bigger.
Sister Sauce is more than just a sauce. It’s a love letter to the food that made us feel most at home.
